A few of my favourite books

Writer: Laurie McIntoshLaurie McIntosh

Updated: Jan 9

The question I get asked the most by far is “can you send me a list of your favourite books?”

I will talk books all. day. long. with anyone who wants to listen.

So it is hard for me to narrow it down to my favourites – especially when I am constantly inspired by posts by The Tutu Teacher, Vera whose diverse books list on TPT in IN-freaking-CREDIBLE and The Book Wrangler, Mike who always posts amazing choices – but I gave it a try here…

Each book is linked to my Amazon Associate shop by clicking on the picture (where I get a small percentage of commission if a book is sold). I did not summarize them each (as the author can do a much better job at that than I can!) but rest assured, these are the tried and true read alouds and books we use every year to inspire us.

BUT I strongly encourage you to check out your local independent bookstores to find these favourites and support the hard working book sellers in your own community.

Garage sales, Value Village and Scholastic “Book of the Week” choices are also great places to build your collection.

So here they are, in no particular, constantly changing order…
